THE WORK

Lockheed Martin is seeking a skilled Network Engineer with a Secret security clearance and a DoD 8570 compliant certification. to work from our beautiful Colorado Springs location.

As a Network Engineer You Will

  • Support the operation and maintenance of the network communications systems.
  • Maintain operations of multi-user networks, virtual computer systems, network performance, and network administration tasks.
  • Assist with the network design of new capabilities.
  • Perform network documentation updates and sponsor peer reviews.
  • Record problem statements and create appropriate reports.
  • Maintain an operational baseline, perform intermittent patching, troubleshoot network issues as they arise, and provide system test support.
  • Responsible for recording, prioritizing, and working network discrepancies on the system.

This is an EARLY CAREER (level 2) ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Red Hat or Linux based operating systems
  • Must be a quick learner capable of absorbing technical material and operations information
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of engineers and technicians. Must be prompt and reliable.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to interact positively with the customer
  • Experience configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls
