Skill in:

• Designing, implementing, and supporting secure network and application delivery infrastructure using Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, and Aviatrix technologies.
• Developing and enforcing firewall rules, NAT policies, segmentation strategies, and secure remote access solutions (e.g., IPSec, SSL VPN, SD-WAN).
• Deploying and tuning F5 BIG-IP appliances for secure application delivery, load balancing, and access control.
• Architecting and managing secure multi-cloud connectivity using Aviatrix, including integration with cloud-native services.
• Using database and configuration management tools to track changes, audit compliance, and support performance analysis.
• Own network security posture: enforce segmentation, zero-trust principles, firewall policies, and cloud-native controls.
• Applying structured change management processes to security infrastructure upgrades, incident response, and policy changes.
• Testing and validating security hardware/software for new deployments, upgrades, and compliance initiatives.
• Developing scripts or automation tools to support security monitoring, configuration management, and reporting.

Knowledge of:

• Administration and maintenance of network and security operating systems and applications, including Cisco IOS/NX-OS, PAN-OS, F5 TMOS, Aviatrix Controller, Panorama, GlobalProtect, threat prevention, and SSL decryption.
• Secure network architecture, design, and integration using protocols such as TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, STP, and advanced routing and segmentation strategies.
• Firewall and security policy design using Cisco ASA/Firepower and Palo Alto NGFWs, including application-layer filtering, threat prevention, and VPN technologies.
• Application delivery and security using F5 BIG-IP modules (LTM, ASM, APM) and iRules for traffic management and access control.
• Design secure and highly available Hybrid cloud network architectures. Multi-cloud networking and security using Aviatrix, including transit gateways, segmentation, encryption, and policy enforcement across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Perform deep packet analysis, root cause investigations, and performance/security tuning.
• Voice and unified communications security protocols including UDP, RTP, RTCP, and QoS considerations.
• Network and security performance monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, SecureX, Cortex XDR) and log analysis for threat detection and response.
• Operating system commands and utilities for network and security diagnostics (e.g., Linux, CLI, PowerShell, Bash).
