What is the role and what team does it sit within?This is an exciting entry-level role within our R&D team based in Newcastle. As a Graduate Developer, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers developing minor enhancements, features, and bug fixes for our Java applications, ensuring high quality through unit testing and adherence to standards. Key ResponsibilitiesYou will complete assigned development tasks to technical specification. Learning and implementing:Agile processesDevelopment practicesSource code managementTesting & Peer Reviews Essential Skills And AttributesRecent graduate with a bachelors degree in either computer science, computer engineering or software engineering.Experience (commercial or at University) with any of the following development languages: (Java, C#, Python)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Understanding of functional and object oriented programming paradigmsDemonstrable skills through university results and project workIdeally you will have a natural curiosity and a demonstrated propensity for learning about a broad range of technologies;Some understanding and/or practical experience in unit testing Please note, due to the nature of this role we will only be considering applicants with Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
