Working closely with our café leaders to elevate individual capability, strengthen sales behaviours, and help our team members grow into the best version of themselves. About the Role
This is a hands-on, in-store role where you’ll work directly with Café Managers across five-six stores in Melbourne, helping them sharpen their selling skills and build confidence in every customer interaction.
You will mentor and lead high performing teams, building capability, creating structure, clarity, and momentum around performance. Through daily training, real-time feedback, and strong accountability, you’ll help transform good into great, and great into unforgettable. You will focus on coaching managers on managing budgets, achieving KPIs and reducing cost, at the same time as maintaining store, safety and food safety standards
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the broader Retail Operations team to support your café network to achieve their KPI's
- Driving high-performance behaviours and consistency across your area
- Support your team to drive sales week on week to achieve your budgets
- Ensure the delivery of an exceptional customer experience across your area
- Coach store leaders to manage wages, budgets and waste
- Coaching and mentoring team members in real-time to build individual capability
- Collaborating with managers to uplift team performance
- Implementing simple but effective accountability and feedback tools
- Celebrating wins
What you bring:
- Proven experience as an Area Manager, or similar role within the hospitality industry with multi-site experience
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor your teams to achieve success
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
- Strong track record of improving commercial KPIs through team development and constant on-floor leadership
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, able to inspire, challenge, and uplift individual frontline teams
- Ability to drive sales targets and effectively manage wages, costs and waste across your café network
- High personal standards in providing a superior customer experience
- Leads from the front, thrives on the café floor and models best-in-class selling and customer service behaviours
