We’re looking for a UX Researcher who knows that great digital experiences go far beyond good visuals. In this role, you’ll dive into how people actually use our smart-home interfaces (from touchscreens to mobile apps) and uncover what helps them, what slows them down, and what needs to change. Your insights will guide our designers with concrete, practical feedback they can act on.
If you understand how people interact with digital products and physical devices – and you enjoy making complex technology feel simple – this role is for you. Bonus points if you have experience with smart-home ecosystems (Loxone / KNX / HomeKit), accessibility, and design systems.
In this role you will…
- Plan and run usability tests, focusing mainly on smart-home systems.
- Test continuously from very early user journeys to near final solutions.
- Deliver clear, structured findings to our UX/UI designers, prioritised by user impact.
- Conduct acceptance testing with various users (e.g. homeowners, installers, first-time users).
- Own usability testing and related practices inside our studio.
- Proven experience testing or designing UX for software or IoT products.
- Familiarity with Maze, UseBerry, Lookback, and AI-driven testing methods.
- Someone comfortable testing complex user flows: onboarding, system setup, automation logic, multi-device control, remote access…
- Skill at converting insights into concrete, design-ready feedback.
- Your mindset to be: structured, analytical, designer-friendly. Unafraid to flag useability issues.
- Fluency in English. German is a plus!
