Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen our team in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The role:

• The team Vehicle Product & Release within the department Energy Management is responsible for the electrical vehicle interface HW towards external charging systems.
• As a Design/CAD Engineer within the Vehicle Product & Release team in the Energy Management department, you will play a crucial role in the hardware development. You will work with issues related to current production as well as new projects covering quality, cost and technology. You will work close to the other team members, collaborate with different interfaces and work close with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Design Engineering: Focus on hardware development and addressing production issues.
• Packaging Work: Ensuring components fit well within the vehicle design.
• Part Number Administration: Managing part numbers in customer's systems.
• Releasing Documentation: Creating and releasing 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Collaboration: Working closely with both internal teams and suppliers.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience s in product development.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Catia (CAD software).
• Strong understanding of vehicle components and systems.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with design in plastics and electrical components is a plus.
