Job Description Summary
As a System Automation Engineer, you will work within the Systems Engineering team of the Monitoring Solutions business within Patient Care Solutions of GE HealthCare in Finland. This is a 1-year fixed term backfill position with good potential to continue.
In this role, you will design and develop tools and utilities that improve Systems Engineering practices by automating tasks, eliminating repetitive manual work, and harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence. You will collaborate with leading experts in the medical device industry, gaining valuable insights and learning opportunities.
Patient Care Solutions develop medical devices and technologies that help sustain life, and support patient care in every setting throughout the hospital environment. Our teams use every moment to provide clinicians and frontline caregivers with a variety of life-changing medical solutions in monitoring, diagnostic cardiology, acute care, anesthesia and respiratory care, and maternal and infant care.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and implement software tools and utilities in close collaboration with system designers and software developers to address their needs.
- Apply AI technologies to streamline and optimize engineering workflows.
- Analyze, debug, and enhance existing tools to improve functionality and introduce new features.
- Create clear documentation for tool design and user instructions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (completed or near completion) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with database technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self-driven problem solver, curious, eager to learn and experiment.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and/or other scripting and programming languages.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) AI tools and services
- Experience with software test automation frameworks.
