Womenswear Designer – 6-Month Contract
Location: Dublin (with international travel)
Our client, a leading name in fashion retail with strong presence across Ireland, is seeking an experienced Womenswear Designer to join their design team on a 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a fast-paced, commercially focused brand and gain hands-on exposure across multi-product categories.
The successful designer will work across outerwear, fleece, jersey, graphics, and core track, taking full ownership of the design process from concept to final product. This role suits someone confident, adaptable, and capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of the Womenswear core track & outerwear range.
- Convert market trends into commercially viable product designs.
- Create technical drawings, spec sheets, and CAD packs.
- Guide and collaborate with an in-house or freelance Graphic Designer.
- Manage daily communication with offshore factories.
- Attend trade shows and travel to overseas manufacturing partners.
- Present concepts, research, and seasonal stories to internal teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Fashion Design (Honours).
- Prior experience in a commercial fashion brand (womenswear).
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
- Excellent organisation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong interest in denim, contemporary fashion, and high-street trends.
- Ability to work well under pressure and independently manage timelines.
