We are seeking a dynamic HR Learning & Development Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping and sustaining our culture while driving continuous growth and excellence across our organisation. This position is central to ensuring we remain a Great Place to Work, fostering talent development, and delivering impactful learning strategies.


Reporting to the Head of HR you will liaise closely with business leaders to proactively lead, develop and implement strategy and policy across the two sites in Ireland and a site in the UK.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Culture & Engagement: Act as a key driver in building and sustaining a positive, high-performance culture across three sites.
  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with business leaders to design and implement HR and L&D strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Talent Development: Lead succession planning and talent initiatives, ensuring a strong pipeline for future growth.
  • Onboarding Excellence: Oversee orientation and onboarding programs for new hires and internal role transitions.
  • Learning Programs: Design and deliver development programs for all levels, supporting continuous learning and career progression.
  • Organisational Effectiveness: Collaborate with management to identify and implement initiatives that enhance performance and adaptability.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyse KPIs and other metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Employee Engagement: Manage and deliver culture-building initiatives to strengthen employee relations and engagement.
  • L&D Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development plan aligned with medium- and long-term business needs.
  • Global Training: Support rollout of global L&D programs and ensure local alignment.
  • Training Needs Analysis: Conduct assessments to identify skill gaps and training priorities.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the plant L&D budget effectively.
  • Safety Culture: Collaborate with EHS to promote safety awareness and training.
  • Performance Support: Partner with managers on feedback, check-ins, and development planning.
  • External Partnerships: Engage with universities and external organisations to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.
  • Innovation & Creativity: Bring fresh ideas and creativity to elevate learning and engagement initiatives.


Education requirements:

  • Third-level qualification in HR, Learning & Development, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • CIPD qualification desirable.


Experience & Skills:

  • Previous HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong background in Learning & Development.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on, practical approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and sound judgment.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
