IT Project Manager

24 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Sligo or Roscommon


As part of continued organisational growth, our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Divisional Project Manager to lead the transformation and development of one of their key business units. This individual will be responsible for planning and executing strategic initiatives, managing budgets, driving process improvements, and ensuring the division is set up for long-term success.


This role will involve regular travel between our clients sites so own car and willingness to travel is essential.


Reporting directly to senior leadership, the successful candidate will take ownership of delivering key divisional projects, supporting operational change, and implementing best-in-class project management practices in line with overall company strategy.


This is an excellent opportunity to lead a high-impact transformation project scaling operations, improving efficiency, and driving meaningful, measurable results across a core division.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan to support the division’s transformation and future growth.
  • Oversee project budgets and financial performance, ensuring effective cost management and accountability.
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, including scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting.
  • Partner with senior leaders to define objectives, set priorities, and align project outcomes with business goals.
  • Identify and implement process and operational improvements to enhance overall performance.
  • Produce regular updates and reports for internal stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, governance frameworks, and relevant standards.
  • Lead and support cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and engagement.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a Project Management role, ideally within a complex, operationally focused environment.
  • Strong financial and budget management experience.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business transformation or large-scale change programmes.
  • Relevant project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
  • Analytical, solutions-focused, and results-driven mindset with a collaborative approach.
