Project overview
The project involves the end-to-end delivery of a next-generation financial platform aimed at improving portfolio management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance for high-net-worth clients. The platform integrates advanced analytics and real-time data feeds to empower financial advisors with actionable insights.
Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of the next-generation financial platform, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in financial services and software development project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex financial software projects on time and within budget.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, QA, and architects.
- Manage stakeholder communications and expectations across multiple business units and external partners.
- Act as the primary client liaison, maintaining strong, trusted relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand business needs, translate them into project objectives, and ensure alignment between client expectations and project deliverables.
- Facilitate client meetings, presentations, and workshops to present progress, manage feedback, and negotiate changes.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure minimal disruption.
- Drive project progress through Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuously optimize processes.
- Facilitate internal and external workshops and meetings to align project goals and resolve issues.
- Provide regular, transparent status reports and updates to senior management and clients.
- Mentor junior project managers and promote a high-performance project culture.
Requirements
- 7+ years of project management experience in software development, with at least 3 years managing financial or fintech projects.
- Proven success leading large-scale, multi-team projects in financial services.
- Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong client relationships.
- Solid understanding of financial domain concepts such as portfolio management, risk, compliance, or asset management.
- Experience using project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, etc.).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- PMP, PMI-ACP or equivalent project management certification.
- Background in software development or technical project management.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with distributed teams and collaborating across time zones.
