The job

As a Software Developer, you will design, develop, and implement software solutions that enable next-generation photonic systems and optical products. You will work closely with optical engineers, system architects, and hardware teams to build tools that accelerate innovation in high-precision photonics applications


Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop software for simulation, modeling, testing, or system control.
  • Build and maintain tools supporting optical design, data analysis, and automation.
  • Create interfaces for controlling lasers, detectors, optical modules, or metrology platforms.
  • Integrate software with photonics hardware (e.g., motion systems, sensors, embedded devices).
  • Optimize algorithms for optical alignment, calibration, and signal processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate optical requirements into software solutions.
  • Contribute to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of photonics software tools.


We are looking for

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similair role
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, C++ or similar languages
  • Knowledge of SQL, APIs, embedded software is a plus
  • Experience with data acquisition, instrumentation, or scientific programming.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g. Zemax) is a plus.


Preferred skills

  • Experience building software for laboratory automation, embedded systems, or test platforms.
  • Background in optical metrology or high-precision manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with control systems, FPGA/embedded interfaces, or robotics.
  • Experience with machine vision, signal processing, or computational imaging.
  • Knowledge of photonic devices such as
