AI/ML Engineer (Founding Team)
Entirely is creating the first AI-native operating system for marketing — a platform that allows enterprise teams to orchestrate campaigns, channels and content with unprecedented automation, personalization and control. Headquartered in Switzerland, we work with portfolio companies, strategic technology partners and leading academic institutions to address one of the biggest challenges in enterprise tech today: the fragmentation and complexity of the marketing stack.
Join our dedicated hub for AI innovation, where bold ideas are tested, breakthrough capabilities are developed and emerging research is translated into enterprise-ready solutions. In close collaboration with core business units and universities such as ETH Zurich, we move from rapid prototypes to production pilots that redefine how global marketing teams operate.
We are actively hiring AI/ML Engineers who want to work hands-on at the frontier of agentic AI. You will design, train and deploy machine learning models, build robust data pipelines, and contribute to the orchestration layer that powers our marketing agents. You will collaborate with product, design and research colleagues to turn prototypes into enterprise-grade applications.
Your Mission
- Lead and expand a small, high-caliber engineering team (<10 in the first 24 months), combining hands-on building with team leadership.
- Define architecture and tech stack, and make the most fundamental technical decisions on behalf of the company in alignment with group-level executive leadership.
- Own the transition from prototyping to production-grade systems, with a focus on security, scalability, maintainability, and speed.
- Build and optimize Python-based agent runtime (preferably Google ADK execution environment), integrating with React frontends and interoperability layers (SDKs, APIs, MCP servers).
- Design and implement data pipelines and ML/AI backends to power taxonomy/ontology, orchestration intelligence, and marketing agents.
- Establish and enforce MLOps best practices: model lifecycle management, CI/CD, testing, monitoring and governance.
- Ensure AI solutions are enterprise-grade: compliant with GDPR, EU AI Act and internal governance frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers and AI researchers to turn prototypes into customer-ready assistants and agents.
- Occasionally represent Entirely externally (conferences, meetups, blog posts) as a technical thought leader.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science or related field. Strong preference for candidates who combine academic rigor with applied, product-driven work.
- Proven track record in Python development (agents, pipelines, ML backends) and hands-on system building.
- Deep familiarity with agent frameworks and orchestration (LangChain, Autogen, LangGraph, MCP servers) and ability to decide when to build agents vs.scripts.
- Working knowledge of front-end ecosystems, ideally React/TypeScript, and ability to guide or mentor front-end colleagues (even if not coding front-enddaily).
- Advanced experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS strongly preferred; GCP and Azure a plus) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with MLOps tooling (MLflow, Weights & Biases, or similar) and deployment at enterprise scale.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams: mentoring, setting direction, managing priorities, balancing R&D with delivery.
- Startup mentality with ability to be all over the stack: from low-level prototyping to strategic architectural decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to influence both engineers and executive stakeholders.
- Willing to be in Zug and/or Zurich for in-person team meetings (1-2 days/week).
- Fluent in English.
We Offer
- Direct collaboration with world-class AI researchers and experienced industry partners.
- Competitive salary, performance-based incentives.
- Opportunities for professional growth, with direct access to executive mentors, investor networks, and cutting-edge AI research.
- Flexible working hours, both hybrid and remote work options with regular collaboration days in Zurich or Zug.
- Team events and game nights — from hiking in the Swiss Alps to table soccer, lunch & learns, and board games.
- English as our default language, plus snackable (Swiss-)German lessons from local colleagues.
- A diverse, international, and collaborative culture that values initiative, openness, and delivering tangible results.
- Optional relocation assistance for internationals.
