Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Sweden
Therapeutic Areas: Oncology & Rare Diseases (Preferred)
Location: Field-based, Sweden (nationwide travel required)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Medical Science Liaison to join our Medical Affairs team. In this role, you will serve as the scientific and clinical expert for our oncology and rare disease portfolio—building trusted relationships with KOLs, supporting evidence generation, and ensuring timely, balanced scientific exchange.
The ideal candidate has a strong scientific background and prior MSL experience, preferably within oncology and/or rare diseases. You will work cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, and Commercial teams to support strategic objectives and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and academic partners to provide high-quality, non-promotional scientific exchange
- Identify scientific insights and communicate field intelligence to internal stakeholders
- Support clinical trial activities, including site identification and feasibility assessments
- Deliver scientific presentations and medical education in accordance with compliance guidelines
- Contribute to the development of medical plans and evidence-generation strategies
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests with accuracy and scientific integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product launches and lifecycle management
Qualifications
- Advanced life-science degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent)
- Proven experience as an MSL (required) with experience in oncology and/or rare diseases (strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of clinical data, scientific communication, and medical compliance standards
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Swedish and English
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and travel extensively across Sweden
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain scientific relationships
