Job Description: Product Manager – Hair Care (FMCG)

Location: Dubai, UAE

Department: Marketing

Reporting to: Sr. Marketing Manager

Education: MBA from IIM

Experience: Minimum 3 years of Product Management experience in FMCG, Preferred Female candidates only

Job Summary

The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and brand-building strategies to achieve designated top-line and bottom-line targets. The role requires strong capability in market research, marketing analytics, brand strategy development, and cross-functional coordination to drive growth in the Hair Care category.

Key Responsibilities

1. Target Achievement

  • Ensure achievement of sales and profitability targets by providing strategic marketing planning, support, and execution.
  • Drive category growth through effective brand initiatives and performance optimization.

2. Agency Management

  • Manage relationships with advertising, media, and market research agencies.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of agency resources and effective delivery of marketing programs.

3. Market Research

  • Identify research needs and evaluate market research proposals.
  • Lead, implement, and monitor research-driven actions to strengthen consumer and market understanding.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies for brand development.

4. Marketing Analysis

  • Conduct both primary and secondary sales analysis to evaluate brand performance.
  • Track and analyze competition, consumer trends, media activities, and profitability.
  • Generate insights to support decision-making and identify growth opportunities.

5. Marketing & Brand Strategy Development

  • Formulate long-term and short-term brand strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Develop detailed marketing plans for brand building, innovation, and communication.
  • Lead cross-functional execution to ensure timely delivery of brand initiatives.

6. Development of Marketing Mix Elements

Ensure development and implementation of marketing mix components in alignment with brand and business plans, including:

  • Communication Strategy: Development of advertising and brand communication.
  • Promotional Planning: Consumer promotions, trade promotions, visibility initiatives, and merchandising programs.
  • Media Planning: Coordination and execution of media strategies.
  • Packaging: Development and refinement of packaging to enhance appeal and usability.
  • Pricing: Support pricing decisions through market analysis and competitive benchmarking.
  • Product Development: End-to-end involvement in product development and lifecycle management.
