About the Role: Director – Data & AI Delivery
We are seeking a strategic, high-impact Data & AI Delivery Lead to head our Data Analytics and AI Practice.
This senior leadership role will operate the BU like an independent business — driving delivery excellence, operational efficiency, presales effectiveness, client satisfaction, and revenue growth.
The ideal candidate is a strong technologist, seasoned delivery leader, and business strategist who can scale a Data & AI portfolio end-to-end while building powerful partnerships with internal leaders across Sales, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Delivery Oversight
• Lead end-to-end delivery of Data, Analytics, and AI projects across multiple enterprise clients.
• Ensure delivery excellence across quality, timelines, budgets, governance, and accountability.
• Provide strategic direction to teams including Data Engineering, AI/ML, Architecture, PMO, and Analytics.
• Establish best practices across Azure Data Services, Databricks, and enterprise cloud ecosystems.
• Drive continuous improvement and delivery predictability across the BU.
Client & Stakeholder Management
• Act as primary point of contact for C-level and senior client stakeholders.
• Build long-term, trusted relationships to drive account growth, renewals, and repeat business.
• Present delivery health, risks, mitigation plans, and transformation roadmaps to client leadership.
• Strengthen collaboration with internal leaders (CEO, Sales, Engineering, Talent, Pre-Sales) to ensure alignment and business success.
Pre-Sales & Business Growth
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Sales, Architecture, and Engineering teams to shape winning proposals.
• Contribute to RFP responses, Data/AI solutioning, effort estimations, and delivery models.
• Develop reusable frameworks, capability decks, and methodologies to support GTM initiatives.
• Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing accounts and emerging markets.
• Work with leadership to build scalable and differentiating Data & AI offerings.
Business Unit Management
• Own BU performance metrics including utilization, profitability, margins, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee workforce planning, talent strategy, and capability building for the BU.
• Collaborate with TA on hiring plans and competency development for Data & AI talent.
• Ensure streamlined operations, forecasting accuracy, and financial discipline.
Strategy & Innovation
• Define and execute the Data & AI BU strategy — growth roadmap, capability expansion, and delivery model.
• Drive innovation in Data Engineering, AI/ML, Generative AI, RAG, Automation, and Analytics.
• Build a forward-looking view of emerging technologies and their impact on offerings and revenue models.
• Champion a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Expertise
• 10–15+ years of experience in Data, Analytics, Cloud, or AI delivery roles.
• Strong delivery leadership experience across Azure Data Services, Azure Analytics, or Databricks.
• Hands-on understanding of data engineering, cloud architecture, data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML models.
Leadership & Business Skills
• Proven experience managing large multi-functional delivery teams across simultaneous projects.
• Ability to operate as a Business Unit Leader — delivery, operations, presales, client success, and financials.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing CXO-level clients.
• Demonstrated ability to scale teams, processes, and delivery excellence frameworks.
