Job details

The Technology Branch is seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to work in Enterprise Architecture and Developer Experience (EA & DE) team to lead the development of the people, processes, policies to uplift the capability of the EA & DE team and technology branch staff more broadly to achieve the strategic objectives of the Technology Strategy and Technology Branch Business Plan. We are seeking to procure a DevOps Lead who will provide the necessary technical expertise, skills, knowledge and leadership to drive, under direction of the EA & DE Director, the program of work to deliver against the key outcomes and technology initiatives.

Key duties and responsibilities

DevOps Lead will work with the EA & DE team to deliver the foundational capabilities to enable the Technology Branch to deliver effective technology solutions and expertise that enhance operational excellence, elevate user experience and provide agility to meet evolving business needs, with a particular focus on DevOps, Cloud capability, AI, data and system integration.

Under limited direction from the Director, Enterprise Architecture and Developer Experience, the duties of the DevOps Lead would include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the implementation of DevOps practices across the Technology Branch
• Assist in the successful delivery of the Technology Strategy and Business Plan outcomes
• Assist with the enhancement of the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Technology Branch
• Provide leadership and expertise in DevOps practices, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of technology solutions
• Foster a collaborative and forward-thinking partnership between the Technology Branch and business teams
• Oversee the integration and deployment of technology solutions as required
• As directed collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with business outcomes
• Provide training and mentorship to internal teams on DevOps best practices

Ensure the practices around embedding security, reliability, and scalability of technology solutions is known, understood and applied accordingly

1. Demonstrated knowledge and skills of DevOps standards and practices

2. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing DevOps solutions.

3. Experience with Cloud capability, AI, data and system integration.

4. Demonstrated skills in leading and managing a team.

5. Ability to provide training and mentorship to internal teams on DevOps practices.
