The Role We are seeking a Machine Learning (ML) Analyst to join our growing company and team. This is a hands-on opportunity, ideally for a new graduate, to apply your Machine Learning and Software Development knowledge in a real-world, tech-driven environment where your work directly supports the energy sector. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values curiosity, initiative, and learning.
Location
This is an on-site position in Calgary, AB (NW Calgary).
What you’ll be doing:
- Build, train, and optimize ML models and pipelines for oil & gas applications and emerging industry use cases
- Integrate ML models into our broader product ecosystem, including data ETL, deployment, monitoring, and scalability
- Conduct hands-on research, experiments, and prototyping to evaluate new models, tools, and techniques
- Maintain and improve experiment tracking, model versioning, and reproducibility workflows
- Implement model evaluation frameworks, including validation strategies, benchmarking, and error analysis
- Collaborate with the development team to package, test, and deploy ML features into production
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, statistics, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Python
- Proficiency with ML tools and libraries such as PyTorch, NumPy, and Scikit-learn
- Understanding of ML algorithms, evaluation metrics, and validation techniques
- Experience using LLMs or large-scale model APIs (e.g., OpenAI API)
- Experience with full-stack development (.NET, HTML/CSS, JavaScript), SQL, and/or Git is considered an asset
- A quick learner who can pick up new skills independently and effectively
- An adaptable problem solver able to execute on solutions without friction, including the ability to leverage tools
