Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Onsite Vancouver


Eligibility: Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents (minimum 5 years residency)

Security Clearance: Must be eligible for Reliability and Controlled Goods clearance




Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Enterprise Analytics team. The successful candidate will analyze, interpret, and transform complex data sets into meaningful insights that support business decision-making. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and validate data sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Gather, interpret, and organize data to support reporting and business objectives.
  • Develop dashboards and visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Create and manage datasets and dataflows using Power Query, M, DAX, and SQL.
  • Write efficient SQL queries to extract and analyze data from multiple databases.
  • Document business requirements, data definitions, and reporting processes.
  • Build and maintain KPIs, metrics, and governance standards for reporting.
  • Optimize and standardize the full analytics lifecycle — from data extraction to visualization.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Support knowledge transfer and provide guidance on BI tools and reporting best practices.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data and business intelligence within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in analytics, business intelligence, KPI development, or data reporting, preferably in a large-scale or project-driven environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI, Power Query, M, DAX, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of database structures and data processing methods.
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Azure Analytics Services and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) is an asset.
