Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive campaign execution end-to-end, from pre-sizing of campaign bases to extraction of campaign leads to post-campaign results analysis
- Drive data projects end-to-end, presenting results to key stakeholders and senior management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, data scientists and cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and synthesize requirements.
- Generate insights and in-depth analysis from data and present findings to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Write and run SQL queries for purposes of generating insights for the business and analysis.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows to process and analyze large volumes of data.
- Create visually appealing and insightful data visualizations to communicate complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and apply statistical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in large and complex datasets.
- Develop, validate, and maintain predictive models and algorithms tailored to specific business use cases such as customer segmentation and propensity models.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of experiments to test hypotheses and validate model performance.
- Document methodologies, procedures, and findings in a clear and concise manner to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and resolve any data quality issues or data gaps that might hinder analysis.
Requirements
Experience
- At least 1-2 years of experience in data analytics or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python are mandatory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (preferably Qlik).
- Previous industry experience in life insurance will be a significant advantage.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex results into understandable and actionable insights.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
