Paradigm Technology is seeking a Scrum Master for our client (Public Utility). This position is scheduled through September with probability of extension. It is a remote position but requires some onsite meetings in Chattanooga, TN.


The Scrum Master serves as a servant leader and coach for one or more Agile teams within our client’s Technology & Innovation organization. This role is responsible for facilitating the Scrum process, promoting Agile principles, and ensuring successful delivery of IT projects that support our client’s mission of providing reliable, affordable, and cleaner energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Identify and resolve blockers to ensure smooth progress toward sprint goals.

Mentor team members on Agile practices, fostering continuous improvement and self-organization.

Work closely with Product Owners, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.

Track and communicate team performance metrics (velocity, burndown charts) to stakeholders.

Contribute to our client’s Agile adoption initiatives, including training and process improvement across T&I domains.

Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and ServiceNow for backlog management and work visualization.

Ensure adherence to our client’s IT standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent (PSM, SAFe Scrum Master).

3+ years as a Scrum Master in IT environments.

Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

Familiarity with enterprise tools (ADO, ServiceNow).

Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Knowledge of software development lifecycle and IT project delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in large-scale Agile transformations.

Exposure to energy or utilities industry projects.

Primavera P6, Copperleaf C55, or McKinsey WAVE
