Your role
- Ensure that the Scrum Team has all necessary resources aligned and available to support successful Scrum activities and ongoing project or product development.
- Conduct Agile Ceremonies: Lead Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Stand Ups, and Backlog Grooming. Ensure these ceremonies are conducted effectively, adhere to the cadence, produce tangible outputs, and encourage active participation from all team members.
- Ownership of Scrum Team Commitment: Take responsibility for the commitments made by the Scrum Team each sprint. Guide the team to estimate work accurately and strive for consistent delivery.
- Development Progress and Communication: Create and maintain readouts and communications regarding development progress and impediments. Share relevant updates with the Scrum Team, Project Management, Product Owners, and Management as appropriate.
- Management of Impediments:Take ownership of impediments identified by the Scrum Team. Document issues and actively work toward resolution to minimize project obstacles.
- Backlog Maintenance and Prioritization: Collaborate with Project Managers and Product Owners to ensure that the Project or Product Backlog is consistently maintained, groomed, and prioritized for team consumption at a regular cadence.
- Proven expertise in Agile Scrum methodologies, team facilitation, and project management. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead Agile ceremonies and drive team accountability.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Atlassian JIRA or similar Agile tools.
- Strong IS/IT experience, including at least 3 years as an Agile Scrum Master or Agile Coach, and 5 years in Project Management.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian JIRA and/or other Agile tools is essential.
