This role is perfect for someone with 3+ years’ experience in an Information Security Centre who enjoys hands-on investigation work, collaborating with technical teams and improving security tooling and controls.
About The Role
As a Security Analyst, you’ll be a critical member of our cyber defence team — monitoring threats, responding to incidents, tuning detection logic and supporting the secure operation of our systems. You’ll work closely with our Managed SOC and internal technology teams across engineering, product and operations.
You’ll bring a strong understanding of firewalls, network security and endpoint protection, along with a passion for continuous improvement and cyber resilience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern, cloud-native environment using tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, EDR platforms, Azure, and Google Workspace.
What You’ll Do
- Investigate alerts and events from our SOC and internal security systems
- Work hands-on with SIEM, EDR, logging and vulnerability management tools
- Support incident response activities and threat investigations
- Review and enhance firewall rules, segmentation and network security controls
- Help maintain secure configurations across Azure and Google Workspace
- Assist with phishing simulations, staff training and cyber awareness programs
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to uplift security controls
- Contribute ideas to evolve our SOC processes, tooling and automation
- Degree in Cyber Security, IT or related discipline
- 3+ years in a SOC or operational cyber role
- Strong understanding of firewalls, network security and perimeter defence
- Experience with SIEM/EDR tools (Sentinel, Defender, CrowdStrike, etc.)
- Exposure to Azure and Google Workspace environments
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, AZ-500 or the Google Cybersecurity Certificate are highly regarded (not essential)
- Join a fast-growing fintech with a strong security culture
- Work with modern cloud-native tools and platforms
- Supportive leadership and opportunities for career progression
- Hybrid work flexibility available
- Collaborative, people-focused team in the Perth CBD
- A genuine opportunity to make a visible impact on the organisation’s security posture
If you're passionate about operational cyber security and want to thrive in a modern, cloud-driven environment, we’d love to hear from you.
