Job Description
What You’ll Do
- Build and deploy AI-powered features, models, and prototypes across Guidewire’s cloud platform
- Experiment with foundation models, LLMs, machine learning techniques, and emerging AI tools
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, and product teams to translate business problems into intelligent system solutions
- Contribute to experimentation frameworks, model training pipelines, and evaluation tools
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile development practices
- Research and apply cutting-edge academic advancements to real-world enterprise problems
- Bring a mindset of curiosity, rapid learning, and innovation to accelerate Guidewire’s AI strategy
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning/AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- Graduating in 2025/2026 (or recent graduate)
- Strong programming skills in Python, and/or Java / C++
Machine learning, deep learning, or reinforcement learning
Natural language processing & LLM architectures
- Generative AI/model fine-tuning
- Data engineering & distributed systems
- Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) beneficial
- Deep intellectual curiosity and love for problem solving
- Strong research mindset — ability to explore, learn fast, and apply academic thinking to practical challenges
- Passion for innovation, experimentation, and building from first principles
- Collaborative and humble team player with strong communication skills
