Trustteam Luxembourg is looking for a CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER (M/F).

About The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of security systems, vulnerability assessments, incident handling and continuous improvement of our security posture. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external SOC/MDR providers to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructures.

Your Responsibilities

  • System Management: Operate and maintain security devices, optimize network/firewall configurations, and ensure infrastructure availability and security.
  • Vulnerability Management: Plan and execute vulnerability scans, analyze results, prioritize risks, and track remediation actions.
  • Technical Support: Investigate and resolve security incidents, handle SOC/MDR alerts, and communicate effectively with clients and teams.
  • SOC Oversight: Supervise external SOC/MDR services, review alerts, manage escalations, and ensure timely incident resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify enhancements for performance, reliability, and security; document processes; apply lessons from incidents and audits.
  • Security Policy & Risk: Support security policies (ISO 27001, GDPR), conduct risk assessments and audits, and recommend protective measures.

Your Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in Windows and Linux environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of network services operations.
  • Solid understanding of networking and strong security skills (firewalls, VPNs, filtering).
  • Experience with security tools (EDR, vulnerability management, monitoring).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Qualys, Sophos MDR, or equivalents.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.

  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a dynamic IT environment.
  • Analytical mindset, strong synthesis skills, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Rigorous, organized, with strong attention to detail in security management.
  • Adaptable and technologically curious.
  • Motivated for continuous learning and improving practices.
  • Clear and effective communication with team members and clients.
  • Collaborative approach to ensure coherent and secure IT operations.
