Role: Python Software Engineer

Type: Contract - initial 12 months

Location: Poland - Fully Remote

Role Summary

We’re hiring a freelance Software Engineer with strong Python and integration expertise for a 12-month fully remote contract (based in Greece). You’ll build and scale core connectors, data-ingestion pipelines, and automation workflows that power our investor-grade insights platform. This role involves working with APIs, data flows, Python scripting and AI-enabled tools to integrate multiple systems and support our financial-investment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python-based integration pipelines and automation scripts for external systems (APIs, webhooks, file feeds, CRM/finance tools).
• Work closely with investment and finance stakeholders to translate their workflows into technical solutions (e.g., deal sourcing, portfolio monitoring, performance analytics).
• Implement data-ingestion, transformation, enrichment (including AI-driven automation), and monitoring workflows.
• Produce clear technical documentation, interface mappings and runbooks; troubleshoot end-to-end issues such as authentication, rate limits, schema updates and data-quality problems.
• Operate independently, manage your remote schedule effectively, communicate proactively across time zones, and deliver consistent, reliable contract outcomes.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of software engineering experience (ideally 3–5 years in Python and systems integration).
• Strong Python skills for production-grade pipelines, with experience in REST/GraphQL APIs, OAuth/API-key authentication, and automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of finance/investment workflows (VC, PE, alternative assets, deal flow, portfolio metrics).
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setup with excellent communication and self-management.
• Able to summarise in your application the two most relevant Python/integration projects you’ve completed (one sentence each).

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with CRM/RevOps or investor-workflow platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Affinity).
• Exposure to BI/reporting tools, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization (Docker), or monitoring systems.
• Background in freelance/contract work with global teams and familiarity with private-market data sources or workflows.
