Test automation engineer

Introduction

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, scripting, and executing system, integration, and acceptance tests. You will also have the skills to program or script these tests using automated testing tools or even implement a custom test framework from scratch.

Job Description

Your mission is to utilize the available tools to enhance the quality of your Scrum team and the developed applications.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Setting up, maintaining, and improving the test automation framework for end-to-end, integration, and regression testing.
• Supporting developers and improving the quality of unit and integration testing.
• Maintaining and enhancing the coherence of all tests based on the test pyramid.
• Manually testing new features.
• Building and deploying new features.

Profile

We’re looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Completed technical education at Bachelor’s or Master’s level (HBO or WO).
• Experience in test engineering and/or software development.
• Knowledge of the Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) concept.
• Proficiency in Python, C, C++, or Java.
• Experience with Continuous Integration or build environments such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Atlassian.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of Gherkin-based frameworks like Behave, SpecFlow, or Cucumber.
