  • Product Ownership (Embedded/Hardware): Lead the full product lifecycle—from discovery and feasibility to launch—ensuring the product meets user needs, reliability targets, cost, and manufacturability constraints.
  • Systems Engineering & End-to-End Design: Apply systems engineering practices to define system requirements, interfaces, and architecture across hardware, firmware, mechanical, power, and connectivity. Produce clear system-level specifications, ICDs, and traceability from requirements to verification.
  • Embedded Architecture & Platform Strategy: Define product-grade platform architecture (MCU/SoC selection, RTOS vs Linux, modular firmware, memory/performance sizing, update/boot strategy, logging/telemetry) to support multiple product variants and long-term maintainability.
  • Firmware & Low-Level Development Leadership: Drive hands-on embedded development in C/C++ including drivers/BSP, bootloaders, real-time scheduling, power management, fault handling, and performance optimization.
  • Hardware Bring-up & Design Reviews: Own bring-up on new boards and lead electronics design reviews (power rails, clocks, reset, signal integrity, high-speed interfaces, sensor integration). Ensure DFM/DFT readiness (test points, manufacturing test plans, debugging access).
  • Integration of Interfaces & Protocols: Specify, integrate, and validate interfaces/protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, USB, BLE/Wi-Fi modules, GNSS/IMU, and camera/sensor pipelines, with product-grade robustness (latency, throughput, error handling).
  • Verification, Validation & Compliance Readiness: Define verification strategy and execute product validation across EVT/DVT/PVT, environmental and stress testing, EMC/ESD readiness, and (where applicable) functional safety/security considerations; lead root-cause analysis for issues from lab to field.
  • Cross-Functional Delivery & Lifecycle Management: Partner with product, manufacturing, QA, and suppliers to manage trade-offs and releases; maintain high-quality documentation (requirements, architecture, test reports, release notes) and support lifecycle activities (firmware updates/OTA, field issues, obsolescence).
