📋 Reports To: Head of Infrastructure / Cloud Automation Lead

About the Role:

As a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you will lead the charge in automating and orchestrating SDD’s complex hybrid infrastructure—spanning Sharjah Sovereign Private Cloud, Azure, AVS, Oracle Cloud, OpenShift, and on-prem systems. You’ll build advanced automation frameworks using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and GitOps to enable consistent, secure, and scalable infrastructure operations for 200+ government entities.

What You’ll Do:

✅ Design and implement end-to-end automation workflows across VMware, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and OpenShift.

✅ Develop advanced Ansible playbooks and enterprise-grade Terraform modules for IaC.

✅ Build CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation using GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

✅ Create automated runbooks for VM lifecycle, network provisioning, DR, patching, and more.

✅ Enable observability, compliance, and drift management through automation.

✅ Collaborate with Cloud, Security, DevOps, and Operations teams to reduce manual effort and accelerate service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

🔹 7–12 years in Infrastructure Automation, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering.

🔹 Expert-level experience with Ansible and Terraform in enterprise

environments.

🔹 Strong hands-on experience with Azure, VMware, Oracle Cloud,

OpenShift, and Linux/Windows automation.

🔹 Proficiency in Python/PowerShell scripting and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.

🔹 Experience with #infrastructure observability, compliance automation,

and #GitOps.

🔹 Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional

collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Certifications:

📜 Red Hat Ansible Automation Specialist

📜 Terraform Associate / Terraform Cloud Engineer

📜 Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect

📜 VMware VCP / Red Hat OpenShift / ITIL v4
