Type: Long-Term Contract / Full-Time (customize as needed)

We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Developer to join our remote engineering team in Ontario, Canada. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable applications using Microsoft .NET technologies. This role requires solid backend development skills, API development experience, cloud exposure, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
  • Work with SQL Server and relational databases to design schemas and optimize queries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support application performance improvements.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements and automation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a .NET Developer.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, and Entity Framework.
  • Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
  • Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with Microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Blazor (optional).
  • Understanding of software security best practices (OWASP, JWT, OAuth).
  • Strong understanding of SQL Server or similar relational databases.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud services or other cloud environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
