Position Overview
Our client is one of North America’s largest and fastest-growing privately owned contract manufacturers, producing household cleaning and personal care products for many of the biggest names in retail. The company is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join the team. The Project Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of all new customer projects across the organization's multiple sites. This position serves as the primary liaison between the customer and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring that all project objectives are met efficiently and to the highest standard of quality. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving customer satisfaction and operational excellence from project initiation through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of new customer projects, serving as the designated team leader and coordinator for all involved personnel and departments.
- Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with customers, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Planning for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and establishing the product structure.
- Define and coordinate purchasing requirements, logistics for materials receipt, warehousing, and final product shipment.
- Establish and manage quality assurance and quality control standards, including all necessary documentation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive reporting systems for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Create and track detailed project timelines and GANTT charts, with a specific focus on milestones such as equipment installation.
- Undertake special projects as assigned by the sales department, including but not limited to profitability analysis and support for specific customer accounts.
Qualifications
- A university degree in Engineering is a strong asset.
- A minimum of two years of direct experience in project management or a senior customer service capacity.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Project.
- Must be able to travel to the United States as business needs require.
