Cyber Threat Detection Analyst (West)

A global firm is looking to hire a Cyber Threat Detection Analyst to join its international cyber intelligence and response operations. Operating across multiple regions in a 24/7 follow-the-sun model, the team is responsible for safeguarding digital assets and ensuring resilient security operations. This role is pivotal in supporting business continuity through rapid incident response and proactive threat mitigation.

Role
As a Cyber Threat Detection Analyst, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on identifying, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats. You will conduct technical investigations, assess the scope and impact of incidents, and implement containment and recovery strategies. Collaboration with threat intelligence teams and internal stakeholders is key, as is providing timely updates and coordination during incidents. The role also involves supporting weekend operations, contributing to strategic projects, and mentoring junior analysts.

Requirement
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, or a related field, and brings experience in threat hunting across endpoint and network data with strong familiarity of attack lifecycles, vectors, and techniques. They are proficient in identifying anomalies, indicators of attack, and relevant tactics, techniques, and procedures using existing data, and are skilled in developing and maintaining detection and prevention use cases with hands-on experience in Splunk and CrowdStrike. They also demonstrate proven capability in working with threat intelligence platforms and premium threat feeds.
