- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
- Experience working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.
- Ability and willingness to work in a rotating shift environment within a network operations center.
- Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
- Experience in Layer 1 optical transmissions, Layer 3 routing (TCP/IP), wireless networking, network design, or operations within a service provider or enterprise, including proficiency with EMS/NMS systems.
- Experience with Unix/Linux system administration, with scripting or coding skills.
- Understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS), combined with experience in ISP network operations or enterprise/IT infrastructure support.
- Ability to troubleshoot methodology and implement creative problem-solving approaches under pressure.
As a Network Implementation Engineer, you will be the initial point of our efforts to execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will work with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, Design and Infrastructure Engineers, Field Engineers within Google, as well as construction and telecommunications vendors and contractors, all to position your team and organization for success.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Responsibilities
- Respond to network outages by providing a diagnosis of Layer 1 to Layer 3 network errors and initiate and complete network repairs.
- Use/Develop workflows and systems to diagnose optical Layer 1 and Layer 3 network issues to completion.
- Participate in 24/7 global team shift rotations.
- Provide remote support for field operations related to network repairs.
- Interface with level customers communicating repair status and updates as needed.
