We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team and help drive data solutions on AWS Cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud-based data platforms, data engineering, and analytics, with a passion for building scalable, high-performance data systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data models.
  • Optimize and debug SQL queries, ensuring data accuracy and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust solutions.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, or Octopus.
  • Ensure best practices in data security, DevSecOps, and automation of data ingestion and testing processes.
  • Support AI and analytics initiatives by preparing and processing high-quality datasets.
  • Work in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and documentation.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a proactive 'can-do' attitude.
  • Sound understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, physical).
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with database design, indexing, and normalization.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, especially services like S3, RDS, Redshift, Iceberg, and Glue.
  • Experience with Python and Spark programming.
  • Familiarity with BI, data warehousing, and ETL tools such as Glue, EMR, or Ab Initio.
  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
  • Experience with test automation and test management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
  • Automation skills in areas such as testing, data ingestion, APIs, and file transfers.
  • Associate-level cloud certification in data engineering preferred.
  • Basic understanding of AI, particularly in data processing and analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
