IAM Tester

We are seeking a skilled IAM Tester to validate and ensure the security, functionality, and reliability of Identity & Access Management solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in testing IAM platforms, authentication/authorization workflows, and security controls across enterprise applications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for IAM components and integrations.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and security testing for IAM modules such as:

User provisioning & de-provisioning

Role-based access control (RBAC)

Single sign-on (SSO)

Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Password policies & lifecycle

Access recertification

  • Validate OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, LDAP, and Active Directory authentication workflows.
  • Test IAM tools such as SailPoint, Azure AD, etc.
  • Verify compliance with security and regulatory standards (ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR, NIST).
  • Work closely with developers, security engineers, and business teams to identify defects, reproduce issues, and validate fixes.
  • Conduct API testing for IAM integrations using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST clients.
  • Automate test scenarios using Selenium, Python, Java, or JMeter (as applicable).
  • Prepare detailed Test reports, defect logs, and documentation.
  • Participate in UAT cycles, triage calls, and provide support during production releases.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in IAM testing or security testing.
  • Excellent understanding of IAM concepts, authentication protocols, and directory services.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major IAM platform (e.g., Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, Azure AD).
  • Strong skills in manual testing and API testing.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, PyTest, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ticketing and ALM tools (JIRA, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps).
  • Good understanding of security controls, access governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
