We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who wants to be part of The Financial Crime Prevention in Tietoevry Banking. Our unit has applied a holistic approach to financial crime prevention, which affects every step of the end-customer journey. We bring in information from a wide variety of data sources- and systems before we apply algorithms and machine learning capabilities to understand new fraud patterns. By automating and adapting our models dynamically, we continue to prevent attempts of fraud before they are executed. We believe that being data- and customer-centric in all our activities, we can deliver better services, new functionalities, and lower the cost across the portfolio to our customers.

As part of the team in FCP you will

• Develop business critical services for the AML domain
• Work closely with product owner, business analyst and architect on integrated solutions
• Develop new services, maintain and operate services in accordance with best practices
• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will get to optimize applications for high performance, scalability, and availability
• Collaborate with architecture team, propose improvements, and take lead on deciding new implementation areas
• Model and deliver technical design solutions to actual challenges within the security domain

We are looking for the following background and experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a software developer
• Strong competence on database development or administration on Oracle, PostGreSQL, noSQL or similar database technologies.
• Experience with back-end development of enterprise software applications
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot and/or Hibernate
• Experience with Maven, Jenkins, Containers, Kubernetes, and/or similar technologies
• Good understanding and adherence to code design and best practices
• Experience with working in cross functional teams and agile processes
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar is preferred. Relevant work experience can compensate for a lack of higher education.
• Fluency in English and good communication- and presentation skills
