Requirements:

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a large-scale data migration initiative from legacy platforms to Databricks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex, multi-phase data programs, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of the data migration program, including planning, execution, and governance.
  • Define program objectives, success metrics, and roadmap aligned with business goals.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with senior leadership, business units, and technical teams to ensure alignment.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans through structured reporting.

Planning & Execution:

  • Develop detailed migration plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and dependencies.
  • Oversee data assessment, cleansing, transformation, and validation activities.

Risk & Compliance:

  • Identify and manage risks related to data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational data governance standards.

Technical Coordination:

  • Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and cloud teams for Databricks implementation.
  • Drive integration with existing systems and ensure performance optimization.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Manage program budgets, vendor contracts, and resource allocation effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

  • 15+ years in Program/Project Management with at least 3 years in large-scale data migration projects.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms and Databricks (or similar big data technologies).

Technical Knowledge:

  • Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data governance.
  • Familiarity with legacy systems and modern data platforms.

Leadership & Communication:

  • Strong stakeholder management and executive reporting skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.
  • Databricks or cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
