Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Iaşi, Romania, with the flexibility to work partially from home. As a Senior Blockchain Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy blockchain-based applications while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating secure and scalable blockchain systems, implementing cryptographic protocols, and ensuring seamless back-end functionality to support cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
Qualifications
Design, implement and review consensus and core Layer One / Layer Two components
Take explicit ownership of one or more modules (e.g., consensus, P2P, DA, bridge, VM,observability) from design to production
Contribute to and review production-grade blockchain codebases
Participate in and sometimes lead:
Daily architecture stand-ups
Mon/Wed/Fri integration check-ins
Weekly block-finality review simulations
Bi-weekly security patch windows
Produce high-quality technical documentation (design docs, RFCs, runbooks, test plans)
Support node operators and validators on onboarding workflows and operational bestpractices
Instrument and improve system observability (metrics, logs, traces, dashboards)
Conduct performance profiling, bottleneck analysis and resiliency testing (fault injection,chaos scenarios)
