About The Role
In this role as an AI Performance Software Engineer, you will drive the development and optimization of cutting-edge AI frameworks. You will be at the forefront of advancing AI capabilities, helping to pave the way for high-performance and efficient computing solutions that will meet future AI demands.
What You’ll Achieve
- Design and develop advanced AI frameworks to ensure top-tier performance and scalability.
- Optimize existing AI architectures to enhance computational efficiency, increase throughput and reduce latency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into Ampere's cloud-native processor platforms and accelerators.
- Conduct detailed testing and validation to guarantee the robustness and reliability of AI frameworks.
- Stay informed about new technologies and methodologies in AI and machine learning, driving innovation in the field.
- Tackle complex AI application problems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Contribute to a collaborative and dynamic work environment, supporting continuous improvement and excellence.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related technical field & 8 years of related experience; or Master's degree & 6 years; or PhD & 3 years
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++ with a strong emphasis on performance tuning.
- 3+ years of experience developing or optimizing high-performance computing systems and cloud-based architectures.
- Software development experience with a focus on AI frameworks – PyTorch, llama.cpp, ONNX, etc is a big plus.
- Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including neural networks and data processing frameworks is also a big plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated integrity, autonomy, and ownership in handling tasks and projects.
