Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Senior Product Manager partners with internal stakeholders to identify and execute opportunities using data and analytics. S/he is responsible for end-to-end reporting product lifecycle management.

Position Specific Responsibilities

  • Partners with the business to identify data, analytics, and reporting use cases, scope, objectives, and desired results
  • Provides subject matter expertise on assigned areas bridging the gap between business functional requirements and technology solutions
  • Solution ideation
  • Owns reporting product development from concept to launch and maintenance
  • Elicits, defines, and documents reporting product requirement specifications including translating features into user stories and acceptance test criteria
  • Partners with stakeholders to design the user interface and user experience
  • Works with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, data engineering, and end users during the product development lifecycle
  • Collaborates with data engineering and report developers to identify and source data
  • Creates prototypes, mockups, defines measures & calculations
  • Conducts user acceptance testing
  • Provides end user training
  • Monitors product utilization, performance and identifies areas for improvement
  • Follows principles of Agile and Scrum including iterative development, continuous feedback, collaboration, flexibility, and delivery of incremental value
  • Conducts sprint planning, roadmap planning, backlog grooming, prioritization refinement, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks
  • Drives data governance through Compassus data governance framework including the Compassus Business Glossary, Governance Council, and SDLC
  • Maintains data quality, security, and integrity
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education And/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Communications, Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • MBA in Business, Project Management, Communications or related field preferred.
  • Ten (10) plus years or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related role strongly preferred.
  • Experience across the data development lifecycle including requirements gathering through report creation and analysis required. Experience working with technical developers who produce data visualizations, charts, graphs, tables, conditional formatting etc. required.
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions in complex environments.
  • Working knowledge of the implementation and optimization of clinical information systems, including an electronic medical record. Experience with system interfaces preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare (Home Health, Hospice, Home Infusion therapies and/or Palliative care) preferred.

Skills

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. High level of competence in oral and written communications, including proper grammar, executive-level communication experience, and giving presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy. Ability to build, maintain, and manage highly funjctional relationships with internal stakeholders. Proven ability to manage meetings, project timelines, and agendas. Must have a high degree of self -management with a demonstrated ability to drive projects from inception through completion. Demonstrated ability to drive efficiency and automation (e.g. self-service reporting, automated reports, efficient touch-free processes). Ability to source data from a warehouse. Ability to create data models.

Work with analytics, engineering, UX, and business teams. Navigating disagreements to maintain alignment and team harmony. Understanding and valuing the perspective and challenges of others. Evaluating data and stakeholder input to make informed decisions. Adjusting to shifting priorities and unexpected challenges. Anticipating potential issues and proactively developing solutions. Articulating a clear product vision that inspires and aligns teams. Balancing the priorites and expectations of diverse stakeholders. Advocating for product needs while aligning with organizational goals. Balancing competing tasks and focusing on high-impact activities. Ensuring accuracy in reporting requirements and deliverables. Delivering on time with compromising quality. Recognizing and managing personal emotions effectively. Building strong relationships across teams and leadership levels. Understanding end-user needs to create impactful reporting solutions. Actively seeking and incorporating user feedback into product development. Aligning product roadmaps with organizational goals. Using insights to guide strategy and feature prioritization.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Deep understanding of reporting tools, BI platforms (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or equivalent), and data visualization best practices. A working knowledge of SQL, data modeling, data warehousing concepts is a plus. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Project Management Professional, Lean, and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
