Role: Automation Test Lead

An Automation Test Lead with 10+ years of overall experience and proven leadership capabilities is a seasoned professional responsible for defining and driving the strategic direction of an organisation's Quality Assurance and automation efforts. This individual manages complex automation frameworks, mentors teams, and ensures high standards of software quality through expert application of API testing tools like Rest Assured.

Architecture & Technical Oversight:

• Architect and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java/Kotlin, Maven/Gradle, BDD (Cucumber), and ensure seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Conduct high-level risk analysis and capacity planning for testing cycles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 10+ years of total experience in the Quality Assurance and Software Testing domain.
• Minimum of 3-5+ years in a dedicated Lead or Management role, demonstrating success in managing direct reports and leading technical projects.
• Deep, hands-on experience designing and implementing successful API automation solutions using Rest Assured.

Technical Proficiency:

• Mandatory Expert Proficiency: Java and the Rest Assured testing library.
• Strong background in BDD methodologies and tools (Cucumber/Gherkin).
• Proficiency with API management and testing tools (Postman, Swagger), databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Leadership & Communication:

• Exceptional leadership qualities with strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills to manage stakeholders and teams effectively.
• Proven ability to drive change and innovation within the technology organisation.
