Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack, Remote, Argentina ONLY)

Wavvest is building an AI-native operating system for wealth management, enabling RIAs to deliver holistic financial advice through one platform. We're scaling to serve millions of next-generation investors.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a senior IC who can own and drive complex projects end-to-end. You’ll be responsible for designing and building key product features, coordinating work across functions, and making thoughtful technical tradeoffs with minimal oversight. You should be comfortable taking a loosely defined problem, shaping it into a clear plan, and executing quickly.
This is a hands-on technical role. You’ll spend most of your time designing systems and writing code. You thrive in ambiguity, ask the right questions, figure things out independently, and have a strong “get stuff done” mindset without needing much hand-holding.
LOCATION & COMPENSATION
Location: Remote (Argentina)
TECH STACK
- Backend: Python, FastAPI, Pydantic v2, Golang(Future)
- Frontend: React, TypeScript, React Native(Expo)
- Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, AWS CDK)
- Integrations: Apex Ascend API, Plaid, Stripe
- Agentic coding: Cursor
- Optional: AI/ML: GPT-4, Claude, LangGraph (Yes, we have an agentic AI product.)
- Future: Golang microservices for performance-critical services
REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years full-stack development, 2+ years fintech
- Highly autonomous: owns implementation decisions end-to-end, yet communicates clearly and keeps everyone aligned.
- Strong hands-on Python, Golang(future), React, Microservices, AWS serverless, API development.
- System design and architecture experience
- Experience leading small engineering teams (2-5 engineers)
- Fast-paced startup experience
- Must use AI-assisted / agentic development tools (e.g., Cursor or similar) and using them to achieve faster prototyping, refactoring, and test generation while maintaining code quality and architectural consistency
- Nice to have: Apex Ascend API experience, Golang, React Native, AI/ML integration
