The role

We are looking for a Data Scientist like you to join our rapidly growing Data team and work closely with the management team to provide critical business insights. This role and you will be key in defining how the team grows and is integrated within the team and the wider company. This role will be utilising and experimenting with leading edge technologies such as Generative AI, and will use tools including Python, Azure Machine Learning and OpenAI.

You will have impact far beyond the data alone: you’ll shape how data drives decisions across Staycity Group, unlocking opportunities in pricing, forecasting, guest experience and operational efficiency, and ultimately contributing to the performance and future growth of our aparthotels across Europe.

We would love you to have:

  • 5+ years Data Science experience
  • Strong data architecture knowledge (data lakes/warehouse/marts, dimensional modelling, star schemas, SCDs)
  • ETL & data pipelines experience such as Integration Services or Azure Data Factory
  • AI/ML + GenAI capability and experience us tools like Python, Azure Machine Learning and OpenAI
  • Stakeholder influence & communication (data-led decisions, senior leader engagement)
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity with kindness, clarity, and a proactive, solutions-first mindset in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communicator and coach—able to create and deliver high-quality training, share knowledge widely, and continuously learn and evolve your thinking

What you can do for us:

  • Build, deploy, monitor, and iterate ML models and analytics solutions (Python, Azure ML, OpenAI where relevant)
  • Explore and experiment with GenAI to drive automation, forecasting, and enhanced reporting
  • Partner with teams to deliver revenue and commercial optimisation initiatives (pricing, demand, conversion)
  • Improve targeted marketing and customer insights through segmentation, propensity, and attribution approaches
  • Apply data science to process optimisation (e.g., vendor onboarding workflows, labour forecasting)
  • Translate business needs into clear data products with documentation and knowledge-sharing/training
