Python Architect – London (Onsite, Full-time)
Competitive Salary + Bonus
We’re working with a high-performing global investment firm that’s rebuilding its technology foundations — and they’re looking for a Python Architect to help design and deliver the systems that power their research, data, and risk functions.
This is a chance to join a small, elite engineering team where ideas move fast, ownership is real, and your work directly impacts performance.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build and maintain backend APIs and automation tools used across research, data, and operations.
- Develop scalable data flows and microservices that connect critical systems.
- Own architectural decisions around reliability, scalability and cloud infrastructure.
- Work hands-on with Python, Snowflake, Kubernetes, Docker, and Dash.
- Partner closely with quantitative analysts and business teams to deliver real-world solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in Python engineering (backend, APIs, infrastructure, or automation).
- A hands-on builder who thrives in high-performance, small-team environments.
- Curiosity and technical breadth across DevOps, cloud, and data architecture.
- Strong communicator – comfortable translating technical work for non-technical stakeholders.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
- Experience in finance is not essential – drive, adaptability and excellence are.
Why Join
- Work alongside exceptional engineers and analysts in a genuinely high-performing environment.
- Build systems that matter — no bureaucracy, no silos.
- Competitive base + significant discretionary bonus.
- Central London office, collaborative and fast-paced culture.
