We’re looking for a curious, analytical, and impact-driven Junior Data Scientist to join our data team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who enjoy working with data, building models, and uncovering insights that support real-world decision-making in a collaborative, remote-first environment.
🎯 Key Responsibilities- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing data for analysis
- Build, evaluate, and maintain statistical and machine learning models
- Conduct exploratory data analyses to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Work closely with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate data into insights
- Help design experiments and measure the impact of product or business changes
- Create clear visualizations and reports to communicate findings
- Contribute to documentation, best practices, and internal knowledge sharing
- 0–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning, or related projects/internships
- Proficiency in Python or R, and familiarity with common libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
- Basic understanding of statistics, machine learning concepts, and data analysis workflows
- Experience with SQL is a plus
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly, Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and curiosity
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
- Fluent in English
- Must be based in Australia with the legal right to work full-time
- A fully remote position within Australia
