What You Will Be Doing....

We are searching for a data modeler to work on the analysis and documentation of database models as well as on improvements detection, troubleshooting of current data models and flows and data processing; which include the use of relational and NoSQL databases. You also need to be technically competent in order to understand systems and data flows and prioritize and work with developers while at the same time being comfortable allowing development teams to present solutions, while you are their knowledge base. Preferably located in Latam working remotely

We are looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Data Modeler who will be doing the following:

  • Analyze, document, and define database models across relational (MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL systems.
  • Evaluate and reconcile logical and physical data models against production databases.
  • Design and maintain both normalized and denormalized schemas where appropriate to balance query performance with storage efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce best‑practice standards for naming conventions, coding practices, and model documentation to ensure consistency across teams.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, data architects, data engineers, and Data Quality analysts, translating business requirements into scalable data structures.

Knowledge And Skills You Need To Have

  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience with data modeling, SQL (MySQL or equivalent), and Transact‑SQL.
  • Experience with SQL Server databases and MySQL (or Starrocks) – you must be comfortable writing and optimizing queries in both.
  • Proven track record in designing both normalized and denormalized schemas for OLTP and OLAP.
  • Strong analytical mindset; ability to translate business rules into precise schema definitions.
  • Capability to read and understand data contracts, the documents that define the structure, quality, source, and business rules of each dataset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
