Job Title: Linux DevOps Engineer

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands

Work Pattern: Hybrid (minimum 1-2 days onsite)

Employment Type: Full-time Permanent


Role Overview:

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust Linux based systems and automation processes to ensure smooth deployment and scalability of applications.


What you could do on a day-to-day basis:

  • Collaborate to deliver robust Linux environments for enterprise clients.
  • Work with DevOps team on automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Implement automation tools (e.g., Ansible) and manage GitOps workflows.
  • Build and maintain update infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and enhance reliability.
  • Prioritize security as part of a managed service approach.
  • Gain insight into client operations to align technology with business needs.
  • Participate in standby duty rotation approximately once every six weeks.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize Linux infrastructure for high availability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for system reliability.
  • Collaborate with development team: DevOps practices and improve workflows.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to system performance, security, and scalability.
  • Contribute to automation to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Understanding of networking, security principles, and system monitoring.


Nice to have:

  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
