What You Will Do
At Volvo Group, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry, and society at large. As a Senior Developer in the Assembly Assurance Capabilities team, you will:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable applications using modern software engineering principles.
- Be an active member of a cross-functional Scrum team, contributing throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement in both technical solutions and development practices.
- Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
- You will work on mission-critical solutions within the Manufacturing Execution layer, supporting the production of engines, gearboxes, trucks, and more across 19 factories in 10 countries.
You will join a dedicated, diverse team focused on quality, runtime stability, and continuous improvement. Our team operates close to the factory floor, collaborating across roles and backgrounds to deliver impactful solutions for Volvo Group’s global manufacturing operations.
This role is based in Skövde, Sweden, and requires you to work on-site at our office. Remote work is not available for this position.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with strong proficiency in .NET (C#) and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and identity management.
- Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and GitOps practices.
- Experience with Blazor (or similar front-end frameworks), RESTful APIs, and Entity Framework.
- Solid understanding of automated test practices and proficiency in Git.
- Experience working in Scrum or other agile methodologies.
- Experience with cloud-native observability tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry).
- Background in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Innovative mindset with a knack for generating new ideas.
- Energetic and inspiring team player who motivates others.
- Technically competent, yet humble and collaborative.
- Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.
