Our client's a Dutch telecom provider focused on creating a more human, optimistic, and inclusive digital experience. They’re hiring a Senior AWS Engineer for their Digital IT Data Platform, a team that sits at the center of their data and personalisation strategy.

You’ll join a diverse engineering group that values openness, collaboration, and innovation. You’ll work on secure, scalable data platforms and support product teams that deliver AI driven customer journeys used every day by millions of people.

Your Day to Day: Technical Ownership, Cloud Engineering, Collaboration

• Take full technical ownership of platform components and data pipelines and keep them secure, scalable, and future ready.
• Collaborate with product leads on robust architectural designs that support platform growth.
• Build and maintain Python based services using FastAPI and Pydantic, including queue workers and batch jobs on AWS.
• Design cloud native architectures with AWS services including ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and S3.
• Use Terraform and GitHub Actions for Infrastructure as Code and CI CD.
• Work with business, cloud and infrastructure, and other data teams on FinOps, security, and audit requirements.
• Contribute to wider initiatives related to AI integration, data strategy, and engineering excellence.
• Mentor peers, conduct code reviews, and support engineering standards.

What You Bring (and What You'll Grow Into)

• 4 to 5 plus years of AWS experience in production grade environments.
• Strong Python skills using FastAPI and Pydantic, including queue workers and batch jobs.
• Experience with Terraform and CI CD using GitHub Actions.
• Experience designing cloud native architectures with AWS ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3 or Kubernetes ECS style patterns.
• Deep knowledge of AWS security best practices including IAM, VPC design, encryption, and data retention.
• Clear communication with technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring peers and driving engineering standards.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus). Already living in the Netherlands.
