Job Overview

Looking for a world-class Python Engineer with strong machine learning skills and exceptional problem-solving capability. This role is part of Turing’s Top Coder Track—ideal for candidates with a strong record on platforms like LeetCode, Codeforces, HackerRank, or Kaggle.

This is a pure engineering role focused on building high-performance Python systems, ML workflows, and scalable backend components supporting advanced AI research teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and optimize high-performance Python systems for AI and ML pipelines.
  • Design modular, clean, production-ready code with strong algorithmic efficiency.
  • Develop backend components that integrate with data, infra, and research teams.
  • Write maintainable Python code with a deep focus on data structures & algorithms.
  • Work with ML libraries (Scikit-Learn, NumPy, Pandas) for model development and deployment.
  • Contribute to system design, clean architecture, and performance optimization.
  • Leverage modern Python tools and best practices in high-scale environments.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, ML, AI, Statistics, or similar.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with production-grade Python.
  • Strong in Python coding, logic, and problem-solving.
  • 1+ year of ML development experience.
  • Proficiency with ML libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn.
  • Proven experience deploying ML models to production systems.
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and clean coding.

Skills: Python OR Python for ML | Machine Learning OR PyTorch OR Keras OR TensorFlow OR Scikit-Learn

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Prior experience in AI model training or ML data preparation.
  • Experience with distributed systems or data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience contributing to open-source codebases.
  • Background in competitive programming (Kaggle/Codeforces/ICPC/etc).
  • Exposure to Agile development environments.

Commitments Required

  • Full-time availability: 40 hours/week (mandatory 4-hour PST overlap)
  • Immediate start (max NP: 1 week)
